Looks cozy. What, you can't fit in there? :)

I sincerely hope the engineer stepped back and said: “...Shit.”

Bwaaaahaha! That’s awesome! The plumber screwed up. If the collar was where it is supposed to be that would look a little less ridiculous.

This is why pretending to be an architect doesn’t actually make you an architect.

My gf said “how?” And nothing else. My reply was (sit backwards)

That wall would make a good friend, right?

“Oh that room? It’s the midget bathroom."

Someone fucked up the rough-in.
Heck, looking at it, you could probably rotate the toilet 90-degrees and put the back up against the sink.
Yea, that would be
way
less awkward.

More like slender man’s bathroom

There’s a reason for Tradesmen and engineers/architects needing a license. Sadly, somehow, many Journeyman Plumbers don’t know how to scale a drawing.

I guess it wouldn’t be so bad if the toilet was closer to the wall, but why not put it against the far wall? Seems like you’d have a lot more useful room.

Reminds me of when a family friend undertook remodeling their bathroom..................
For one, larger people couldn’t fit into the bathroom because of how tight the gap between the sink and door jamb were.
For two, the floor of the shower was flat, there was a half partition on one side of the shower, which meant it constantly flooded the entire bathroom.
For three, the bathroom was actually massive, but laziness ensued.
Sigh.......

Bathroom > closet.

No idea. Maybe they cut the hole from under the house and said “eh, good enough”

My current bathroom used to be a closet I think. It fits regular people.

Replace the far wall with a shower and you have our current "master" bath. I often wonder why we bought this place at all.

Save some cash and have one of those sink/shower/toilet combos

The “walk in closet" is behind the bath. As we have converted the "sunroom" (an addition with two little westward windows) to the closet - and claimed tons of usable space in doing so - we are blowing that bathroom away this summer and using the old closet space to expand it.

Our current “master” bath. I was against the wall taking these shots. Blame kinja for rotation foolishness.

Your house sounds like mine. The only real closet is off the laundry room, so that’s where my clothes are. Just ignore the fact that it’s the farthest place you can get from my bedroom.
If I ever win the lottery (ok, not a big enough jackpot to move, at least) I’m swapping the 7x10 foot laundry room for the 4x7 foot bathroom. Because that was just silly planning.

Do you live in Thornton? Pretty much all the houses here are the same, shitty tiny '50s floorplans

Haha, no, but your bathroom looks tinier than mine! I’m west of downtown in a house that was built by poor people in 1906. Originally just 3 rooms, no running water for probably 35-ish years. I can't for the life of me figure out what the current bathroom was before the house had plumbing.

That looks like my current bathroom. I think your shower is a little bigger.

My wife was raised in a(n originally) tiny house west of downtown that was built in 1892. I know that feel by proxy :)
